Tono Mirai gave a lecture at Shinsyu University.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Tono Mirai gave a lecture at Shinsyu University titled “Forest Architecture Born of Wood and Soil: OYAKI FARM and Others”. He shared insights about OYAKI FARM, which hi supervised in design and construction, as well as her past and current architectural projects.

In particular, the lecture aimed to explore the possibilities of “forest architecture”-wooden structures incorporating earth- in the future, providing an opportunity for attendees to reflect on this approach together. This event was hosted by Shinsyu University’s Center for Symbiotic Wooden Architecture, which holds lectures every year around this time.

After the lecture, students presented their research through poster sessions and oral presentations, leading to an engaging exchange of ideas. The subsequent networking session provided a valuable opportunity to engage in deeper discussions with students and professors, reaffirming the growing interest in architecture that integrates wood and earth.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our vision of architecture and to deepen our discussions with many participants. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event!
