We are pleased to announce that OYAK FARM BY IROHADO, for which our office provided design and supervision, has won the General Category Grand Prize at the 2024 Nagano Architecture Culture Award, hosted by the Nagano Association of Architects (Public Interest Incorporated Association).
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the client, Irohado, as well as to the contractors: Moriya Shokai, Terashima Construction, Kyoei Electric Works, and Mikami Landscaping, and to everyone who has supported us.
The chairman of the judging panel was Mr. On Kawagahara, one of Japan’s leading contemporary architects, which made the judging process quite nerve-wracking. After reading the evaluation, it was pointed out that while the structural design is a magnificent piece of work, there is still room for improvement in the handling of the exterior and rammed earth elements. With this encouragement, we will continue to strive for further development.
We look forward to your continued support.
